Last weekend, the girls played in the HPC under 16s girls tournament, a Scotland-wide competition. Eight teams competed in two groups of four. The winner of each group playing in the final, the runners up playing for 3rd /4th spot.

A very early start for the team - 8am on Sunday as we were first game on. In a closely fought game our girls came out on top versus Glenalmond College, Holly Duff the goalscorer in a 1- 0 win.

A tougher second game versus Uddingston saw us have the better of the game only to lose to a single goal - a 1- 0 defeat.

Our last group game would decide our fate...winners of group, runners up or going home! Sadly it was the latter, an older, more experienced Grange (Edinburgh) proving just a little too strong on the day , showing similar form as they went on to win the tournament. A great experience for our side and hopefully one they'll want to be part of again next year when they will be older, stronger and more experienced in the competition arena.
